A delightful read from a dog's perspective. What I most enjoyed about this book is the way it explores the connection between dogs and humans. The bond is profoundly explored in an intimate story of healing. As a long time dog lover, My Story helped me appreciate the sacred relationship we share. Dogs are more in tune with our energy than most humans. I can't wait to see more from this author.
What a great read for all ages. Erin crafted a beautiful, moving story as told through the eyes of a dog. "My Story" captures the true essence of the soul of man and woman's greatest companion. Get ready to be taken on a glorious journey filled with suspense, excitement, heart-ache, hope and humor. Erin shows in vivid detail how a poetic bond can exist between dog and human. This is without a doubt, the best doggy book that I have read in years. Erin Kanoa's book " My Story" which is told from perspective of dog. It's truly a book that will connect with any type of animal lover. It's told in a beautiful manner without the touchy/feel good over kill. You will find many haunting thoughts and memories that will surface though out this book. Unfortunately the novel shows a painful look at man's many short comings when it comes to our pets. All in all, this book is a pure joy to read and so full of love that it will grab your heart.

I have had the privilege to watch the progression of this precious book come to being. There was so much thought combined with a lifetime of experiences and so much love in its creation. This book is not just a story to read, it is living a journey through the eyes and emotions of a living being and seeing the world according to Schatzi by walking in her footsteps each step of the way and understanding from a creature who has no voice to speak up or at the mercy of others with no control of her circumstances giving us another perspective and awareness for those who are usually unheard. Riveting journey full of love, pain, compassion, laughter, joy, loyalty and all the ingredients that make up a life full of how experience gives knowledge then hopefully gain wisdom and insight to the soul of a living being......very precious can't wait for more to come
Loved this beautifully written book. Having just said goodbye to my dear Logan, it took me on a very emotional journey of 18 years living with 4 Weimaraners. Erin expressed to the fullest the deep bond between humans and our canine companions. It made me cry and it made me laugh and at times I just stopped to remember the love, joy fun, anxiety and sadness we shared. I hope in their eyes we lived the CODE. I have read a lot of dog books but never one that touched me so deeply. Thank you Schatzi for MY STORY.
Erin Kanoa's MY STORY is a true gem. I've never read a book like it in my life. It touched my soul in ways I couldn't have imagined. Told from the perspective of Schatzi (half border collie/half lab), I was able to feel into this dog's humble and loving spirt and experience dogs in a way I never have before. The narration is simple (I can see how kids would love this book!), yet incredibly profound. I'd be tickled and giggling out loud one moment and brought to tears the next. Kanoa adeptly explores the ancient connection between dogs and humans through Olivia and Schatzi. We feel and experience all of it through Shatzi - who represents the often unheard, collective voice of our four-legged friends.
